How to Back Up Your 24-Word Seed Phrase in Nexus Wallet

Your 24-word seed phrase is the most important piece of information in your Nexus Wallet. It allows you to recover your wallet and access your funds if you ever lose your device or reinstall the app. If you lose this phrase, we cannot help you recover your coins — so it’s crucial to back it up safely. Why you need to back it up The 24 words are your wallet’s master key. - Without them, you lose access to your funds permanently. - Anyone who has these words has access to your coins. So you must: ✔️ Keep it safe. ✔️ Keep it offline. ✔️ Keep it private. How to find and back up your seed phrase 1️⃣ Open your Nexus Wallet app. 2️⃣ Go to Settings (top left corner) > View Seed Phrase. 3️⃣ The app will display your 24 words in order. Best practices when backing it up. ✅ Write the 24 words exactly as shown, in order. ✅ Use pen and paper, not your phone or computer. ✅ Store it in a secure place, like a safe or lockbox. ✅ Make at least two copies and keep them in separate secure locations. ✅ Best: engrave or punch it into a steel plate (like the Masters Plate Seed Backup Kit) to protect against fire and water damage. ❌ Do not take a screenshot. ❌ Do not email it to yourself. ❌ Do not share it with anyone. Stay safe Your seed phrase is the only way to recover your wallet. Treat it like cash: if someone else gets it, they can spend your funds; if you lose it, your funds are gone. Take a few minutes now to back it up properly — your future self will thank you.
